INTRODUCTION

Yumna zaidi is Pakistani actrees.She has made a name for herself as a top television actor in the Urdu-language television sector and is renowned for playing a variety of characters in social to romantic plays. Zaidi has won three Lux Style Awards, to his credit.

First Drama; 

Zaidi first made an appearance as a supporting character in the 2012 domestic drama Thakan on ARY Digital and then played lead roles in a number of television series, such as the melodrama Khushi Ek Roag, the romantic drama Teri Raah Main Rul Gai, both of which were released in 2012, the family drama Meri Dulari, and the revenge dramas Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi, both of which were released in 2013, the latter of which brought her praise and a nomination for a Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress.
By playing a troubled wife in Farooq Rind's tragic-romance Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se (2014), she became well-known and received nominations for the Hum Award for Best Actress and Best Actress Popular. She went on to win praise for playing a variety of characters in the jealous-drama Mausam (2014), the comedy drama Jugnoo (2015) (both earned three nominations for the Hum Award), the tragic-romance Guzaarish (2015), the romance
As a result of her roles in Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila (2017), Inkaar (2019), Pyar Ke Sadqay (2020), and Dil Na Umeed To Nahi (2021), Zaidi later achieved critical acclaim and established herself. The second and third of these films garnered her the Lux Style Award for Best Television Actress.

Career


First appearing in a supporting part in the domestic drama Thakan on ARY Digital in 2012, Zaidi then played the lead in the melodrama Khushi Ek Roag. Later, she made an appearance in Teri Raah Main Rul Gai on Urdu 1 where she played Maryam opposite Samiya Mumtaz and Sami Khan.[2]

Zaidi won accolades for playing emotionally complex characters in the dramas Meri Dulari (2013) on Geo TV and Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi (2013) on Hum TV, the latter of which earned her a Hum Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She became a leading actress in Pakistan because to her critically lauded performance as a disturbed wife in the tragic romance Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se (2013). She was also nominated for the Hum Award for Best Actress and Best Actress Popular. Later, Zaidi made a guest appearance in the 2013 television series Sannata and co-starred with Sajal Ali and Agha Ali in Kashif Nisar's film Kis Se Kahoon. Her portrayals of a variety of characters in the dramas Mausam (2014), Madawa (2015), Guzaarish (2015), and Jugnoo (2015) helped her earn further notoriety.
She acted as the title character, Uzma Ikhtiar, opposite Zahid Ahmed and Sana Javed in Momina Duraid's Zara Yaad Kar in 2016.
She then co-starred with Ahmed Ali in the 2017 television movie Yeh Raha Dil on Hum TV. Zaidi portrayed Hayat, whose father abandoned her when she was a small child and whose mother had passed away. Viewers applauded her on-screen connection with Ali, which led to her nomination for Best on-screen couple at the Hum Awards.[5] Later, she agreed to star in Pinjra, directed by Kashif Nisar.[6] She co-starred with Noman Ijaz and Saman Ansari in Bee Gul's Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila that same year as Sila, a victim of sexual harassment. With limited sentences and a difficult subject, Yumna carried off her performance with ease, making it believable from the start to the finish, according to a critic from The News International.

As of 2018–2019, she starred in Pukaar as Samra, the feudal lord's widow[8], and she also made an appearance in Mehreen Jabbar’s Project Dil Kiya Karey, produced by 7th Sky Entertainment.[9][10] She portrayed Hajra alongside Imran Ashraf and Sami Khan in the social drama Inkaar, and she made a cameo appearance in Angeline Malik's anthology series Choti Choti Batain.[11][12] She also made a brief cameo appearance in Ishq Zahe Naseeb[13] and played Raina in the telefilm Shaadi Impossible.[14]

OTHER WORK:

When Udaari received a show-cause notice from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority in 2016, she spoke out, saying:

Because it is based on a societal issue, we should use such drama serials to raise awareness in our society.[15]

On Hum TV's Bridal Couture Week, she walked the runway for the Crystalline collection by designer Aisha Farid.[16] In 2017, she also participated in the celebrity comedic chat program Mazaaq Raat.[17]
